I’m going through my second deployment as a Navy girlfriend. I found some cute post cards of food and diff. things.My boyfriend loves pizza and since I can’t send him actual pizza, I sent him a Pizza post cards. I try to send him sweet gifts and funny things.
But I need more gift ideas. I love the idea about sending him bubbles because he is silly.

My husband deployed a week after our son started Kindergarten. He was upset because he felt like he was missing an important part of his life. I went to my sons class at random times and took pictures of him doing everything. When I would send care packages, I’d put pics from school and everday life along with school work and art projects. My son was just learning to write, so I would help him write his own letters to daddy. My husband absolutely loved them. He said that it made him feel like he was connected to us and our lives. Also, he knew what was going on in school and in our lives, so we had time to catch up on other things when he came home. We just had another baby and he’s on a work-up for another deployment. The baby changes everyday, so I send him a pic on his fone everyday. This way he can see her smile and see how big she’s getting.
