Music – it’s therapy, it’s entertainment, it’s touches our souls. When go through a deployment music can give you comfort and help you deal with your emotions…and yes it can set the mood for what you were going to do anyways…like balling your eyes out. These songs shall remind you that you are not alone, people have felt the way you did and this is their song..(note this list is more of a girly list, guys list coming up soon). Though it is called the top 20 there is no particular order to it, because once you hit shuffle it really doesn’t matter

I really like listening to Come Home by One Republic or the Faith Hill version is good too.
That’s a good one, thanks for sharing!
“When I’m Gone” by 3 Doors Down came out before my hubby’s 1st ever deployment. I balled and cried every time I heard that song, and of course, the local radio station played it constantly being near a military post–Ft. Stewart, GA. Even our kids knew that song.
What’s up with these great rock groups that can either pen or sing these just wonderful “thinking of so many memories make you wanna cry your eyes out” songs? I mean, seriously. Nickelback…sheesh. 3DD…you’re making me buy lots of tissues.
Good choices!
My number one and 2 are: Alone in Thie Bed by Framing Hanley and Ocean Size Love by Maria Mena <3
Gunslinger by Avenged Sevenfold
